PARIS PHOTO 2015 in its 19th edition opens next week at the Grand Palais and runs for 4 days from November 12 to 15. As always the event promises to be the photography extravaganza of the year, with 174 galleries and art book dealers from 34 countries.
The book signings, with bookworks from over 200 photographers include Roger Ballen; Bruno Barbey; David Campany; Antoine D'Agata; Cristina De Middel; Raymond Depardon; JH Engström; Elliott Erwitt; Nan Goldin; John Gossage; Paul Graham; Bill Henson; Rob Hornstra; Ron Jude; William Klein; Susan Meiselas; Martin Parr; Christian Patterson; Matthew Porter; Viviane Sassen and Agnès Varda.
Then there is the Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards which
celebrates the book’s contribution to the evolving narrative of
photography. The fourth edition of the Awards will recognize three
winners in the following categories: First PhotoBook, PhotoBook of the
Year, and “Photography Catalogue of the Year.
ONESTAR PRESS presents BOOK MACHINE from November 12-14 onsite at Paris Photo,
BOOK MACHINE unites thirty photobook project candidates and five
graphic design students in their final year at Ecole de Communication
Visuelle (ECV) in Paris to work together to conceive, design and
complete book projects in 3 hour sessions.
On Sunday November 15th at 5 pm, a panel of invited guests will present and comment on the completed projects in a closing ceremony in the Auditorium. Each candidate will leave with their own printed book.
